ICICI Bank following its public offer valued at Rs 5,400 crore has become the eighth company in the Rs. 1 trillion market valuation club. But still their customer support sucks. I called up their Toll free number, today requiring an Application status, they asked my Account number (ok fine), name (ok fine), telephone number (ok fine), Application number (cant you track from my name, ok fine), they asked my passport number (this is ridiculous). I asked them why should I give so much details, cant you track from my Account number or name? The reply was customer tracking software was not working for the past 1 week. Why can't you say this in the beginning of the call? And when are you going to fix the software? You want to run a customer support with an unworking software? Is my informations safe, when I give all my details to the CSE(in short customer support exective or officer or whatever,.) who writes it down manually?
